A day-long workshop on Islamic Banking was
organized jointly by ICB Islamic Bank Limited and Central Shariah Board for
Islamic Banks of Bangladesh exclusively for the officers and executives of the
Bank on 29th April 2015 at ICB Islamic Bank Limited, IDB Bhaban Branch, Dhaka.
The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Mr. AQM Safiullah Arif,
Secretary General of CSISB. Mr. Muhammad Shafiq Bin Abdullah, Managing Director
and CEO of the Bank blessed the occasion as Chief Guest. Eminent Banker Mr. M.
Azizul Huq, Dr. Mohammed Haider Ali Miah, Managing Director & CEO of EXIM
Bank Limited, Md. Fariduddin Ahmed, and advisor of EXIM Bank Limited were
present in this occasion as speakers. 40 Officers and executives of the Bank

NRB Global Bank holds annual business review meeting

Symphony launches two high powered battery smartphones
Smartphone
users are always craving for long lasting batteries to power up their handsets
all day long without charging in affordable smartphones. Keeping that in mind,
Symphony mobile has recently launched two smartphones dubbed as V60 and H150 in
the market. Both these handsets have been inaugurated by the Jakaria Shahid,

For
starters, H150 has a whopping 4000 mAh battery and V60 is paired with a 3000
mAh battery which can withstand long hours of heavy usage all day long.
As

incredible 5 inch IPS display along with
autofocus enabled 8MP back, 2MP front camera and powered by 1.3GHz Quad Core
processor. On the other hand the stylish 4.5 inch IPS display featured in V60
has a 5MP back and 2 MP front camera. Both of these smartphones have a 8GB internal
memory and its external memory storage can be expandable upto 32GB if needed.

H150
comes with a free flip cover which can be used to operate total of five apps

of USB devices like pendrive via OTG cables.
Both
the smarphones are packed with G and Accelerometer sensor which rotates the
screen according to the motion and angle of the handset enabling it to play
cool games like ‘Temple Run, Highways Rider etc. And its proximity sensor keeps
the battery charged up by dimming the light when in ear for calls.
Symphony
announced BDT 6,490 for V60 and BDT 10,590 for H150 offering the best bang for
the buck at this price range in the market.

Sayeed H Chowdhury re-elected ONE Bank chairman
The
Board of Directors of ONE Bank Limited has re-elected Mr. Sayeed H. Chowdhury
as its Chairman for another one-year term from April 30, 2015. The Board has

Gavin J Walker becomes Singer Bangladesh chairman
The
Board of Directors of Singer Bangladesh Limited in its 213th meeting held on
April 30, 2015 (Thursday) elected Gavin J Walker as the Chairman of the
